THE BISHOP OF ROME ASKING TO PRAY FOR THE CHURCH IN MAMFE DUE TO THE RECENT KIDNAP

 

The Bishop of Rome, Pope Francis, has urged the church to pray for the Mamfe church in Cameroon, for the release of the kidnapped Christians and priests.

The incident happened on Friday 16 September, according to the mayor of the town, 2 clerics including a priest were kidnapped, and the church was burned by attackers

This incident happened a few days after the disrupted start of the school year in the 2 English regions. Attacks have been made at various localities in Cameroon's northwest and southwest regions.


The Bishop of the mamfe diocese in many division, southwest region His Lordship Aloysius Fondong has said catholic christains turned into amba fighters are the authors on the church incident and in disappointment, he further said the church will never return to the land and urges the people to pray for their land, for the atrocity brought on them
