The crisis that began in 2017 on the month of october has brought many damages to the 2 English speaking regions and the country as a whole. It has been a tradition in the english speaking regions that school resumption will take place on early october contradicting the normal school resumption which is always on the month of september as the state demands.
The 2022/2023 school year has followed the routine of the delays in school resumptions. The month of september hasn't been the best as in the past years of the crisis. Following the unexpected ghost town that has been given since the 6 of september till futher notice has brought alot of slow down in the economy. Towns like Kumba, Buea and other small towns located around has been facing this issues.
No schools, lockdown of stores, no movement of vehicles, markets are closed, businesses are shutdown and has made the environment being in an atmosphere of fear, places are boring, everyone indoors and people now depend on their saving.
One of the biggest demerit of this crisis is the displacement of people from their home towns. People who had investments in the village were all driven out due to war between the military and the amba boys.
Also, the killing of people has been alarmy in the english regions, destruction of property have rendered people homeless and now living in bushes to survive.
The crisis has been the greatest regret of the people cause they never expected it to turn this way while the crisis has been on a big merit to some business individuals as their brewery businesses has been booming since brasseries du cameroon, the biggest beer producer in cameroon has been barned by the amba boys.
